Cross Fire is an online military first-person shooter for the PC, developed by SmileGate and published by G4BOX. Players assume the role of either a Black List or Global Risk operative, and then compete in modes including Team Death Match and the exclusive stealth-action ghost mode. Cross Fire also will include a persistent military ranking system, in-game friends lists, a clan formation system, and deep character customization options. Cross Fire will always be free-to-download-and-play.

Story:

Relentless armed conflict between world powers has given rise to a new underground rivalry. Global Risk and Black List, mercenary factions with opposing worldviews, are now responsible for the ever shifting international balance of power. The origin of these two outfits can be traced back to the escalating use of PMCs (Private Military Corporations) by governments to wage secret proxy wars on their opposition. This trend gave the founders of both Global Risk and Black List the resources to recruit former members of special operations forces from around the globe to establish their respective mercenary organizations. Now firmly entrenched in positions of extreme power and influence, the battles of these two warring factions will shape the future of the world...

Oponents:

Black List - Secretive mercenary organization that advocates the use of violence to halt the spread of corporate capitalism and globalization. They claim that current world powers have used aggressive foreign policy to maintain modern empires, and will use any means necessary to combat their expansion.

Global Risk - A giant private military corporation without national identity. It is composed of former members of special operations forces and its stated aim is to impose order in an increasingly chaotic world by any means necessary.

Characters:

OMOH - The OMOH is Russia's special police force.

S.A.S - The SAS (Special Air Service) is a Special Forces unit in England. They have a long, storied history and are considered a prestigious unit within the English military.

S.W.A.T. - S.W.A.T. (Special Weapons and Tactics Unit) was formed in the early 1960s as a joint-military system between the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) and the FBI.

SPOP - Secret Special Operations force.

GSG-9 - GSG9 (Grenzschutzgruppe 9) is Germany's Special Police Force.
