Marxio File Checksum Verifier Description

Program to calculate and verify checksums of files and downloaded from the internet. Supports major checksum types: MD4, MD5, SHA1, SHA-256, SHA-384, SHA-512, RIPEMD-128, RIPEMD-160, HAVAL 256, TIGER 192. Portable version - no installer, just one .exe file. It has basic interface with no fireworks. File Checksum Verifier (FCV) has option to save window position, stay on top on other windows or can be rolled-up to mini bar. Application is aimed at portable USB drives. It uses only one .ini file instead of Windows registry.

First - portability

I start to use portable tools. Why ? Don't have to install them, Windows registry is still clean, whenever I want I just delete program's folder and that's it. Computer was and is still clean now. I love good quality "portables" and Marxio File Checksum Verifier is exactly one of those. Small, powerful and portable. I use other tool made by the same author - Marxio Timer. It's also portable and unique in its type.

Portable "must have" tool

I often have to deal with large files and I need to check whether they are the same or not and this application is very useful for me. First, it supports basic algorithms like crc32 and very fast md5 along with more advances but slower sha2. Second, it's portable and needs no installation and very intuitive. Third, freeware. This all makes it really valuable application.
